At Elsten Eye Care, we are passionate about providing our clients with comprehensive eye care. Serving the Rockwall/Rowlett greater area, Elsten Eye Care provides is now a full service location where you can buy glasses and contacts as well as receive thorough eye examinations.  The office features the brands you recognize in Acuvue, Bausch + Lomb, and Coopervision as well as featuring designer frames from Kate Spade, Fossil, Chesterfield, and Banana Republic.  As a doctor of optometry, Dr, Elsten can examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures as well as identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.

COVID-19 Update

We continue to serve our patients as optometry is an essential business, but we have instituted changes like scheduling hourly appointments. This will help to reduce the person to person contact and allow time to properly disinfect between patients.  We are also asking a few things from you.

Masks are mandatory.

  1. Unless you are a minor, please come individually.
  2. Please reschedule if you feel ill, have acquired a cough, sniffles, or have been running fever since you made the appointment.
  3. We will have you use hand sanitizer or wash your hands before you are seen.
  4. If you are picking up contacts or glasses we ask that you call us from your car when you arrive so we can bring them out to you.
  5. We are back to normal business hours and both routine and urgent care.
  6. We are still ordering glasses and contacts for our patients.

Things are very confusing with the onset of COVID-19 and we have adopted different policies that allow us to be responsible to the practice as well as our patients.  We apologize for any inconvenience and ask for your cooperation as guidelines seem to be changing daily.

    Dr. Joel Elsten has been providing the Rockwall/Rowlett area with high quality eye care and vision correction services for more than 9 years. Joel’s commitment to delivering a great patient experience lead him to outgrow his previous location resulting in opening Elsten Eye Care’s location on 9101 Lakeview Pkwy in Rowlett in December of 2016.

    Ms. Tiffany has assisted Dr. Elsten in patient care for the past 9 years.  She serves as the office manager and her experience makes the office run smoothly behind the scenes.  She has  beome the go to person for all those interesting insurance questions.

    Ms. Linda

    Ms. Linda is the latest addition to Dr. Elsten’s team.  She is generally the first person that will greet you whether it is on the phone or in person.  Her personality makes her a valuable team member and a good person to get advise from when trying on frames.
